Attorney John P. Chay

John represents companies, business owners, and individuals in a variety of transactional matters and litigation.   

Prior to starting his own firm, John was associate general counsel for a family office where he advised and worked on an assortment of matters related to the office’s numerous operating businesses and real estate holdings.

John is a graduate of Baylor University and Texas A&M University School of Law.  While in law school, he practiced with his third year bar card under The Law Office of Jim Lane and obtained his first plaintiff’s verdict on behalf of a Tarrant County Deputy Sheriff against Tarrant County on claims involving injuries sustained while on patrol.  John also interned for the Division of Enforcement of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and was a judicial intern for the Honorable D. Michael Lynn in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas and for the Honorable Terry R. Means in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.  

John is licensed to practice in Texas, Oklahoma, and Washington.  He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and in the United States Supreme Court.
